What Is It? A fun-filled hour of music, stories and play for 0-5s
Who is it for? (target group, numbers, previous experience) 0-5 year olds and their carers.
What’s the benefit? The 10 week course follows a structure designed to encourage children to explore self-expression and emotions. They will experience whole body movement through music and the feel of a steady beat. They will explore and imitate sounds, in the context of a story brought to life with songs, instruments, and puppets.
Availability (where and when) Available through Youth Music at a discounted rate in Allerdale, Copeland and Carlisle. A minimum group size of 15 over 10 weeks. We’ll come to your setting at a time that suits!
Who will deliver it? Sarah: a music practitioner with a wealth of experience to share, a passion for singing and a primary teaching background. Rufus: a shy puppet who helps the class to explore their emotions through song. Stephen: our wandering minstrel and song writer who captures the ideas of the children and helps them tell their stories in song.
How much will it cost? £200 for a 10 week block, plus a nominal charge per person for materials (Discounted price). Discounted places are strictly limited so get in quick! Otherwise the full price will be £450. There may be other ways in which we can use the resource to best suit your needs, so please get in touch to discuss your requirements and arrange a quote.
Where could it lead? After an initial 10 week discounted period, the project could continue with a new theme. Group leaders, parents and carers will have a bank of songs and musical materials for use in their setting and in the home and where necessary, will be supported to develop the confidence to sing.
