Here at SoundWave we believe that music has the power to transform lives. We would like to provide your school with an exciting and engaging music programme that could enhance the learning experience.
Opera Explorers can range from a half day taster where the class can explore and perform clasical music to a half term project with development tasks and workshops where pupils will explore, develop, build, co-create, evolve, and perform the genre. Using a scene from a famous opera, a practitioner will work with the group to create their own performance involving the different areas of the genre – story, singing, orchestra, costume, stagecraft, languages, props.
The project can take place in one afternoon with a group. Or for more impact go for one of two longer options: an immersive week long experience or a co-created half term with development tasks between each workshop. With the longer options, more classes could be involved in the creative process.
Opera Explorers can also be provided using a dual practitioner approach which would provide a more comprehensive exploration of the genre (additional cost will apply).
