Why should you become a Soundwave patron?
You or your business could make a difference to young peoples lives in West Cumbria.
You can help keep our costs low and the quality of our music sessions high!

About us:
Soundwave are a music charity engaging young people aged 11-19 interested in music across West Cumbria. They can attend free weekly music sessions facilitated by a team of music youth workers. We work with hundreds of young people every year, bringing funding into our communities as well as working towards opening a brand-new music and arts centre in Whitehaven in 2024.
We are launching a brand-new Patron Scheme to allow local organisations, businesses and individuals to support the work we do. This will be in the form of bronze, silver, gold and platinum patron packages which allow patrons to pay a nominal monthly amount to allow further music-based activity for young creatives around Cumbria. Soundwave patrons do not need to be musical- if you care about young people’s activity that’s all that matters!
Our sessions run across Whitehaven, Workington, Cockermouth and Keswick. These are in the form of evening music sessions, primary school delivery, local college delivery, running an online digital platform ‘Hollr’ and recording studio sessions for up-and-coming musicians in Cumbria. We also engage in the wider community - with an inter-generational drumming group and our DisChord choir for ages 19+ .
Your contribution will help keep this work going and we have lots of exclusive ‘Patron Only’ perks such as meeting room hire, recording studio usage, bespoke music packages, networking meetings and more.
