The Firework Makers Daughter PDF Print E-mail

Over the last four weeks, SoundWave’s Chris Stones has been working with three local schools on an exciting outreach project linked to The Firework-Maker’s Daughter. Braithwaite, Bassenthwaite and Victoria Junior School have all enjoyed exploring the music of the gamelan and the movement of the Wayang Golek puppets. Chris says,

Through the music of the gamelan, the beautiful Wayang Golek puppets, and most importantly the ideas and imaginations of the young people we have worked with, we have all been transported across the seas to the steamy slopes of Java. We hope everyone going to see The Firework-Maker’s Daughter this Christmas will take the opportunity to enjoy this very Cumbrian take on Indonesia”.
